Physical Facilities is responsible for the strategic forward planning, conceptualisation, procurement, renovation, alteration, management, operation and maintenance of the physical facilities on the campuses at the National University of Samoa.

We urge that you utilise your section/faculty secretaries to lodge your request via email, internal memo or in person using the form available for use. Please complete the Customer Request Form available on the staff portal S:\PHYSICAL FACILITIES\Customer Request Form or download it to report any faults, complaints, request service, equipment, etc. We will not accept nor consider any verbal complaints or requests unless this form has been completed and lodged.

University Plans (floor & emergency)
Provided within 3 – 5 working days dependent on availability of requested plan(s).
Health and Safety
Requests will be processed within 5 to 10 working days dependent on scope and scale of request or immediately dependent on urgency and seriousness of request/case.
o Site inspection

The urgency of your request will be assessed according to the scale of work/repair needed. However the team leader has the discretion to adjust the level of urgency upon completion of the first site inspection.
Fault initial inspection will be processed within 3 working days
New installation will be processed within 10 working days
Replacements will be processed within 5 working days
New connections will be processed within 10 working days
Medium to large scale requests or installations will be processed within 10 – 15 working days
Any new installations will be sourced from respective faculty/division budgets except scheduled repair works by Physical Facility.
Repair works will be processed within 3- 5 working days dependent on availability of equipment/materials as well as scale of request.
Construction works will be processed within 15 – 20 working days.
Renovations will be processed within 15 – 20 working days.

To report inappropriate or unsavoury behaviour by students on campus/in classrooms;
Suspicious activities on campus;
The Cleaning Services carries out daily routine clean-up from Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm. All special requests to be carried out after hours must be submitted 3 days in advance.
Sweep and mop floors internal, external (corridors)
Dusting, collecting rubbish in common areas
Cleaning of all offices (floors, carpets, windows, dusting, empty trash receptacles, wipe furniture)
Cleaning of Library and computer labs (wipe windows, chairs, mop, sweep, dust desks, ceiling)
Replenish dispensers (soap/towels/rolls) in toilets, kitchenette, science labs, locker room, gym, flats
Clean lavatories, toilet fixtures, showers, basins, mirrors
Set up and arrange facilities/furniture for special occasions and functions (graduation, staff party, meetings, seminars, conferences, enrolment, orientation, weddings, etc)
Report faults or maintenance requirements relating to other services
Maintains cleanliness of facilities on campus
Landscaping & Grounds Keeping Requests
Processed within 5 – 10 working days dependent on staff schedule and type of request.
o Trimming or pruning
o Cutting grass, branches, weeding, watering, chemical application
o New garden or relocation of campus plants
o Purchase plants
Equipment / Field Bookings – email Amerika Siale
Any bookings placed for chairs, tables, podium or sports field etc please call, email or hand deliver the relevant form to Director Physical Facilities. Any damage caused to any of the hired equipment, you will be liable for replacement or payment.
Confidentiality and privacy on sensitive matters shall be respected at all times
All feedback shall be addressed within seven (7) days
