Academic Records and Students Database

Confidentiality of academic records is  paramount to the University.  Students are issued results slips each semester and upon request  can obtain a copy of their academic transcript or their certificate/qualification.  Please note there are associated costs and timelines – which are available in the Calendar.  It important we have students contact details in the event there are changes to their classes,  therefore students are responsible for advising the Student Administration office for any changes to their contact details. 

Application for changes to students name’s  require supporting documents for verification.

Assesment

Students are assessed according to the University’s General Statues and Regulations and the specific regulations for their programme as outlined in the Calendar. Seek counselling from the faculty or our office to ensure  you are following the correct programme regulation. Students applying for credit and cross credit are to note;

Credit

Application towards an NUS qualification of courses passed at another recognised tertiary institution. If the qualification is completed, credit would normally be limited to one-third of the NUS  programme.

Cross credit

Application towards one NUS qualification of passes gained in another qualification at NUS, at the same or lower level, taken concurrently or previously. 

Calendar

The calendar contains pertinent  information regarding  dates, governance and staff, general information, programmes and courses, general statues and regulations and fees.  Each student is issued a calendar during enrolment week and students are to ensure they follow the programme regulations stated in the calendar  of the year they started their programme. In the event a student changes their programme then regulations in the Calendar of the year they started their new programme will apply.

Examinations

Student Administration coordinates final examinations in accordance with the University’s regulations. The Examination period for both semesters are normally;

  • Semester 1 June
  • Semester 2 November

Students are to check the Examination timetable and to advise Student Administration of any clashes or any other issues they may have with the final examinations before the examination period is over. All students must have valid student identification cards to be permitted in the examination venue.
